In Afghanistan if you cut your nails in someone’s house it would mean that you don’t like them, and in fact, it is considered as a sign of hostility.

Also, cutting your nails inside a room is not allowed and is not done in Afghanistan. It’s said that it would bring bad luck to the family.

There is another thing about the nails which might sound a bit strange. When two people are quarreling, and at the same time, while they are still quarreling and a third person rubs his/her both hand’s nails together, this would cause the two people (who are just quarreling) to fight.

Another thing about the nails is, some teenagers, in Afghanistan, would grow their pinkie finger’s nail as a way of fashion.
